Thanks for diving a little deeper. Here are some other details so you can prepare yourself:
Arrival, departure, cars:

You can arrive in Cancun or Cozumel. If you arrive with in a special two hour time window, you can be picked up, we can give you a ride down to Tankah, Tulum ( where we’ll be staying). If not, there are buses and taxis to get you there. It an hour and half log trip down the coast to Tulum from Cancun. We’ll be renting three cars to carry 12 people. I will drive one car, and I need at least two other people sign up to drive up and down the coast ( It’s a pretty easy drive.. difficult to get lost) Whomever wants to be a driver can be. Being a driver gives you the freedom to take people ( and your self ) the places you want to go during our vacation. It costs $35 to be a driver, due to the insurance cost. Gas cost ( beyond the travel between the airport and retreat place ) is covered by those who travel in the cars. Pack light so we can fit everybody’s stuff in the cars!

Soon, I will be picking a time of arrival. It will be a two hour window you will try to arrive in in order to get your ride down to Tankah. Arrival any other time, or a late flight will mean you are getting down there on your own steam (in a future missive I’ll explain how to do that.) For a return time, I recommend flights leaving after 3:30 PM. That means we’ll need to be back up in Cancun by 1:30 pm on the last day.
Food:
Please let me know your food preferences in advance. Meat? Vegetarian? Vegan? Food Allergies? This will help me to create a meal plan. We will have a staff that will help with meal prep two meals a day, 6 days a week. Otherwise we are on our own. We will all collect tips at the end of the week to pay them. I’d say $30 each would be fair. Each person will take several turns in the kitchen, both cooking and cleaning. We’ll have meal teams who work together to prepare the food. Mostly vegetarian meals will be covered by the fee. Whomever wants to eat more meat can easily purchase it and cook it. There is a barbeque perfect for this purpose. You can get lovely seafood in town… fresh caught by the fishermen. Tulum town is about a ten minute drive away. The staff will go into town and shop for you if you like for a $10 fee plus the cost of the food. People are welcome to eat in town as well. There are LOTS of lovely restaurants there. Dinner will cost between $6- $12 not including drinks. It will help our meal planning if you can figure out what meals you might be in town to eat so we don’t make a lot of food unnecessarily.
Healing work:
I will be offering private sessions while in Mexico. This is a perfect opportunity to do some deep work in a place you can totally unwind and take it in. Sessions will be $150 for an hour and half, $100 an hour, $50 for a short session. I will probably only offer 6 full sessions while I’m there so it would be best to let me know in advance in you want one. If you want to know more about what I do in these sessions, go to: http://SylviaBrallier.com/content/private-sessions.
Cool things to do in this area:
Swimming in water that is warm and turquoise blue. Snorkeling here is UNBELEIVABLE. If we get lucky and get a few flat windless days, going out our back door to the ocean can be like a national geographic moment. Generally, I just wear a mask and snorkel tube and swim out to where the fishy action is. Incredible.
Hang out… sleep, dream, rest, read, play or meditate on the beach or in the shade.
Sand Sculpture!
Creative projects of any kind.
Poke around town. Go in the cool shops. Eat out. See the Mayan section of town.
Cenote (jungle pool) swimming.
Cave snorkeling… there are amazing underground watery cave tours you can take nearby. They are totally fascinating and a lot of fun. Example of what yo
u might see can be found here: http://www.cenotedosojos.com/photos.htm
Sian Ka’an Bio reserve: This is one of the largest and most treasured natural preserves in Mexico. There are lots of different bird species. This year I am considering going on the sunset boat tour. I have heard that sometimes people see entire islands covered with Rosette Spoon Bills and the like. Wow. http://cesiak.org/sunsetde.htm
Mayan Ruins. Coba is my favorite pre-classic site, and it's only only about a hour away. There is a huge pyramid to climb. The jungle is beautiful. The buildings, impressive. http://www.sacred-destinations.com/mexico/coba Other ruins within driving distance… The famous Chichen-It’za and the Tulum
ruins, which overlook the ocean.
Receive a limpia, or energy clearing session with Maria, the local curendera. This is done with chicken eggs. I think she charges @ $20. after each pass of the cleansing she does a reading on the egg in glass of water to see what your energy body has to say about what has been released.
I will be offering a one hour optional morning movement and meditation session every day. It will cover energy body clearing and strengthening, stretching, and kriya yoga instruction. If you want to get reestablished on daily spiritual and self care practice
s, this trip will be a good opportunity to cut that groove while in paradise.
I will also be offering a group breath work session. Breath work is an incredible opportunity to drop what’s in the way and really let your bliss come through.
Beyond that, it’s up to your creativity and desire. What do you want this week to be for you? Please do consider if you have anything you would like offer the group. If not, just enjoy what arises. We’ll have a great time together either way.
I love this place and love to share it with others. This year I hadn’t originally intended to bring a group, but I just couldn’t imagine a year without Mexico! My intention is to create a laid back space that people can pour themselves into, creating healing and magic... Caribbean style. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested, as I have to pay the deposit on a large place, and it will help my peace of mind to know I’ve got the folks to fill it. Please invite your friends! If we all think of who we’d enjoy playing with in paradise and invite them. We’ll have 12 people in no time. Currently, we have 6 people signed up.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Love,
Sylvia
